Children are more vulnerable to being traumatized by accidents, pandemics, violent crimes, and other disasters.  But with the right adult support, they’re also able to recover faster.  We will look at recognizing the signs of child traumatic stress and the impact that trauma may have on children. We will look at information on the prevalence and impact of traumatic events on children and what actions can be taken to support children when they experience traumatic events.
