Smart Start Workforce Grant Orientation for Child Care Centers

This orientation is a mandatory training to be able to apply for Smart Start Workforce Grants in FY26. This training seeks to provide licensed center-based programs with a comprehensive understanding of Smart Start Workforce Grants. The goal is to strengthen participants’ knowledge about the grants, including the required wage floor, application requirements, and the steps to apply successfully. It will also cover grant eligibility, reporting and audit requirements, and how to access technical assistance, resources, and support. Throughout the course, intermittent assessments and scenarios will be included to enhance comprehension of the material. Participants will have opportunities to engage with and receive guidance from a local expert in their area either virtually or in-person.

This training must be attended by the person in your organization who is the contact for your grant application (The person whose registry number is connected to the application).
