Have you ever heard someone say, “All they ever want to do is play in the block center!” Well, I have some news for you about the block center that might just surprise you. Instead of trying to figure out how to get children out of the block center, let’s discuss how different types of learning takes play through block play and why it is so important.  Overlapping learning for developmental domains is easy when you have a well-developed block area.  Block play provides children with three-dimensional creativity and problem-solving development.  We will jump into teaching strategies and have you prepared for hours of extended play in the block center.
